Instructions For Using the Motor Data Files:

For RockSim version 7 and older:

1. Unzip the file.
2. Place the Aerotech.eng file into the DATA folder of RockSim (toss the old
one out).
3. In the RockSim PROGRAM folder, run the engine compiler program (called
CompEng.exe). Compile all the motors, not just the new Aerotech file. It
takes just a few seconds to compile the database. Then quit CompEng.
4. If RockSim was running in the background, you can either
quit-and-restart, or you can choose "Reload Engine Data" from the "FILE"
pull-down menu.

For RockSim version 8 & 9 (Mac or Windows):

1. Unzip the file.
2. Place the Aerotech.eng file into the DATA folder of RockSim (toss the old
one out).
3. From the FILE Menu, choose "Reload engines..." Use the browse button to
find the DATA folder, and select all the engines you want RockSim to use.
They should be moved to the right side of the dialog screen. Then click the
"OK" button.

NOTES:

1. The RASP.eng format does not allow a "P" to be used to designate a
plugged motor. A "0" is NOT a plugged motor; it is a Booster stage motor,
like a D12-0.

2. To make it easier to tell motors apart from within RockSim, here are the
manufacturer designations used:

A-RMS Reloadable Rocket Engines from Aerotech
Aerotech Only Single-Use Engines
Aerotech-Hybrid Hybrid Motors
